Looking for a unique way to ask your bridal party?

As the newest member of the MGE team, I am still learning a lot about the details of a wedding! One thing I know for sure though is the importance of the people standing in front of your guests with you on your big day! Your bridal party consists of your best friends and relatives, so show them how special they are to you by asking them to be your bridesmaids in fun, creative, or sentimental ways! Here are some of my favorites:

1. A traditional handwritten note might be the most personal way to ask your favorite girls to be your bridesmaids, but why not go for a cute invitation? Use your wedding colors to make it more personal. This is an invitation I received to be in my cousin’s wedding, and I absolutely loved it!

Personalized Fortune Cookies

2. Another creative way to ask your bridal party is personalized cookies! Who doesn’t love cookies?! Personalized fortune cookies are becoming a popular gift idea or party favor. It would be perfect to take your girls out to dinner and have them open fortune cookies that had the note, “Will you be my bridesmaid?”

Bouquet of Flowers

3. You can never go wrong with flowers! How about send your bridesmaids a bouquet of  their favorite flowers with the note asking them to be in your bridal party? If you want to be a little more mushy, include in the note how much it would mean to you to have them in your wedding!

Monogrammed Cosmetic Bag

4. A monogrammed cosmetic bag would be the perfect gift for any girl. You can never have enough bags!! Give the girls bags in their favorite colors and patterns. Don’t forget to include a message asking them to be your bridesmaids!

5. For a more extravagant way to ask your bridal party, take the girls away for a girls’ weekend! Have a long beach day or spa day with them, and ask them to be your bridesmaids over a private dinner. Everyone needs a relaxing getaway weekend sometimes! (***this is my favorite!)

Whatever you choose, it should reflect your personality and relationship with your bridal party! It can be as elegant or simple as you like, as long as it is special to you and your girls!!

How did you ask your favorite girls??? We want to know.

XOXO

Sarah
