Real Ford Plantation Wedding: Jennifer and Michael Part 1-Ceremony

Jen and Michael’s Ford Plantation wedding began with a word…”nostalgia”.  This word then inspired the couple to start pulling images that included scenes from the Great Gatsby and almost all things southern.  We then translated these images into details seen in almost every element of their wedding.  The specific southern elements included, mason jars, fireflies, oaks with Spanish moss, magnolias, oysters, and of course pie!  The invitations had their own letterpressed magnolia folder that held together the contents, the escort cards were placed in sand attached to oyster shells, oyster shells also adorned the table sign stands, and a large sugar magnolia was seen gracing the top of the couple’s cutting cake while mini pocket pies were offered as an additional dessert.  Southern hospitality was a must and offered in the form of several comfortable lounge areas where a guest might catch the relaxing smell of lavender while enjoying the monogrammed pillows.  Then when done with the lounge areas, they could throw on a pair of dancing shoes and dance the night away under the collection of twinkling wicker balls.  Jen and Michael were such a unique and caring couple so we choose to include several elements that were extra special to them.  They are the happy parents to an adorable dog and bunny and they included them by having cake toppers made that sat atop their sweetheart table.  The dessert table also had an extra special item which was a tea set that belonged to Michael’s mother.  Guests danced the night away to the fabulous band and even joined them on stage several times.  As guests lined up for the sparkling exit at the end of the night, the skies began to rumble but guests got to say goodbye just in the nick of time!  Overall this was the most wonderful wedding one could imagine from a Northern couple who love everything Southern!

Tune in tomorrow for the portraits.

Summer Wedding: Guest Guide

If you are one of the many people attending a wedding this summer, I am so flipping jealous!!! The selection of dresses out there in the world is absolutely ah-mazing!!!! Stores are full of adorable and beautiful dresses! Banana Republic, Shopbop, JCrew, Piperlime, etc, etc. I could go on and on!! So here are 3 of my favorite summer dresses and how to perfectly style them for a summer wedding, so whether you are a classic gal or trendy chick I’ve got you covered!!

Look 1: Dress, Alice+Olivia $264. Classic, Gold cuff, Hive & Honey $22; Sandal, Tibi $365. Trendy, bracelets from top Juicy Cuuture $48, Juicy Couture $88, DANNIJO $216; Wedges, Cynthia Vincent $198.
The peplum is so on trend this summer and besides just being flipping adorable I think that it is incredibly flattering for many body types. The classic gals need only a solid gold cuff and a pair of unbelievable sandals and you are dunzo. For the hipsters, an arm of fun bright colored bracelets and an unbelievably cool wedge will really give this outfit a high-fashion look.
Look 2: Dress, Milly $310. Classic, Ring, Tinley Road $24; Pump, Stuart Weitzman $365. Trendy Necklace, Hive & Honey $34; Wedges, L.A.M.B. $345.
I lalalalove the colors in this dress, so fun and a touch of the unexpected. The classic chicks can rely on the bold pattern of the dress to do most of the work, pairing it with a simple nude pump and a fun cocktail ring. The trendsetters are going to want a little extra oomph, so I love the idea of a funky white wedge!! It’s so cool!! And a bold necklace will give you the perfect finishing touch.

Look 3: Dress, Banana Republic $130. Classic, Earrings, Tinley Road $20; Wedges, Hive & Honey $109. Trendy, Bracelet, Sabine $24; Wedges, L.A.M.B. $295.
I adore this dress. It’s deceivingly simple. The color is beyond perfect for the summer!! I love the classic wedge, they will be equally adorable with a pair of jeans or even fancy shorts. The graphic earrings add interest and bring attention to your face and even help show off the beautiful neckline of the dress. Okay, trendy kids rejoice! I just found the coolest shoes ever. These wedges are stunners and the pattern is a perfect match for the dress, mix with a killer cool leopard cuff and you will definitely be the coolest kid there... except for the bride... yeah, can’t forget about her...

A Savannah Soiree--A Styled Shoot

We are THRILLED to write about the recent creative/personal project we worked on alongside some of the best vendors and Savannah companies. Azelle Photography wanted to make a short wedding “movie” featuring some of their favorite places and people and when they came to us we couldn't have been more honored and excited about it. The creative project was inspired by the movie, Singing in the Rain.  So, when we took this idea to heart, we created the classy atmosphere at one of the most authentic historical venues in Savannah – The Harper Fowlkes House.

What inspired us to produce this project? The philosophy on working in any industry is that through collaboration of talented professionals, bigger and better things can happen is exactly that. When you translate that into the wonderful world of weddings, this means that we have an opportunity to showcase Savannah as a highly unique, charming, authentic and sophisticated destination for spectacular celebrations. Savannah provides not only an authentic backdrop for such experiences through its historical relevance and raw natural beauty, but also offers an awesome sampling of services by a great number of talented professionals who are simply an embodiment of Savannah’s reputation for being a Hostess City. Although numerous weddings take place in this city every weekend, we want to raise the national and the international awareness to the fact that  exciting and unforgettable moments will be created for the couples especially here, because Savannah is filled with talent & professionals who truly are passionate about their craft and cherish the opportunities to create something original, exciting, and custom tailored. In other words, talent, innovation, art and professionalism can come together to provide a top-notch experience for the client searching for something distinctive, heartfelt, and real.

So, as you see, it is not just one wedding professional that presents you with this exciting undertaking-- This project is brought to you by the  Southern hospitality, talent, and skillful professionalism,  of the entire team involved in creating something exciting and new as a way to show what can be achieved when such professionals work together for a common goal.

Stay tuned in to our blog for the upcoming full-length feature! Until then, here is a teaser of the film and photography from our project.
