Melissa and Phil were confident in my design aesthetic and I had been dying to do this look for a while, I just had to wait until the right couple…and here they were! The highest compliment a wedding planner and event designer can having while planning is creative freedom. (This doesn't mean we take over your wedding and look though-Melissa and Phil had plenty of input along the way) Each table presented a different flower in different shades of reds/pinks. Peonies, roses, gerbera daises, sweet peas, and ranunculus OH MY! Their first dance had everyone in stitches and when I tell you that there are few people who could pull off such a crazy eclectic dance…there are, but for these two…IT WAS PERFECT! Complete with moves like the swim, the grocery cart, cabbage patch, MC hammer, and some originals I couldn't even identify or duplicate if you paid me. I have never laughed soooo hard! Miniature figures of Buddha guided their guests to their tables, favors were chocolate structures of the DC monuments, and cowboy boot bubbles sent the happy couple on their way in true DC style----in a taxi! The atmosphere was warm and inviting and I began to feel like a guest as the time went on throughout the night. I cannot tell you how many times these two made me fall in love with my job over and over again! Thank you Melissa and Phil for letting me share in your wedding and life! I love you two to pieces! xoxoxoxo
