New Year's Eve night into New Year's Eve "day" 12/31/11 - 1/1/12 **He literally began his speech minutes before midnight and proposed seconds into the new year.
Where did you meet?
Through friends, St. Petersburg, FL
How did he propose?
Nick took me to a lovely dinner at the top of the St. Petersburg pier then we walked down the pier to a spot he chose where he began his speech and proposed under fireworks launched at midnight.
When is your wedding date?
November 3rd, 2012
Why did you pick the area you are getting married in?
We felt it captured all the charm, beauty, and history we had imagined for our big day and would be the perfect backdrop for our military wedding. Plus the weather is guaranteed to be much better than in Chicago where I'm from!
Where do you reside now?
Savannah
Anything interesting or out of the ordinary you are including in your
wedding day? (dog is the ring bearer, etc)
We are having a military wedding and also incorporating aspects honoring my deceased mother throughout the entire wedding in the form of pink colors (for breast cancer that she passed from) and I'm wearing my mother's wedding dress (altered) as an exit dress.
First and foremost, thank you for your service to our country. Your selfless services (both of you) are greatly appreciated! Secondly--we are so happy to be able to be a part of this process with you and cannot wait to see your mom's dress on you! This doesn't happen often but when it does--it is truly a sentimental and beautiful thing!
