Shoe Love!

Some would say that most important part of your wedding look would be the dress... I would disagree. Your shoes are vastly more important :) You need to be able to stand comfortably and dance the night away!! And bonus, unlike your dress you will be able to wear them again so don’t be afraid to spend some dough. Wearing an uncomfortable shoe is the wedding day kiss of death. I ended up barefoot, dancing around like a vagabond because my wedding shoes, while adorable, were ghastly uncomfortable. Here are some beauties that are actually comfortable!!

Flats. Personally, I wouldn’t wear flats unless you are very tall, as they are usually not incredibly flattering with a long dress, but I know that you are going to wear what you want to wear. Clockwise from the top right. Kate Spade, $198, Kenneth Cole, $59; Kenneth Cole, $59; BCBG Max Azria, $195.

Sandals. Strappy sandals work well for fancy/black tie weddings. Beware though, they can be the most uncomfortable... so many straps and whatnot to rub and cause blisters. Clearly I have a bit of an obsession with Stuart Weitzman!!! So comfy, so worth the money. Clockwise from the top right. LK Bennett, $325; The rest are all Stuart Weitzman, $385, $425, $560.

Pumps. A nice classic. There are endless options when it comes to the pump so you will have plenty of options and we all love options. Pumps also offer stability and rewearability... not a word, I’m aware. When it comes to wedding day styles I prefer a peep toe, keeping your toesies covered seems really out dated and are never as flattering with a long gown. Clockwise from the top right. Badgley Mischka, $245; House of Harlow, $295; Steve Madden, $130; Caparros, $89; Badgley Mischka, $245.

Wedges. These are the best for stability, height, and comfort. I suggest those not used to wearing heels to try a 3-4 inch wedge with a slight platform, you will be amazed how comfortable they are! I call all of my wedges my crime fighting shoes... Yes, I am so confident when wear them I could, indeed, fight crime. Left to right. LAMB, $345; Nina, $89; Penny Loves Kenny, $89.

Kitten Heels. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I would suggest a kitten heel over my dead body. If you don’t want a heel, wear flats. End. Of. Story.
