Kelly and Robby-A Jekyll Island Wedding Part 1-Ceremony

Jekyll Island WeddingKelly and Robby were a couple that touched more than my heart. Their love of their friends and family made this event truly an event to remember for all involved. (I remember crying about 3 times that night!) Kelly loved to let myself and her vendors take creative control after a little direction and generalities of she wanted from her wedding…and it was such a pleasure to do so!  Details were very important for this couple. From the memorial candle that burned during the reception, her grandmothers brooch that attached to her bouquet, tissues for tears, to  providing fans and bottled water to make sure guests were comfortable in the humidity. Kelly also had a few surprises up her sleeve for her beloved groom and one of the sweetest was our arrangement to have the orchestra play “All You Need is Love” like the version in the movie “Love Actually” as they exited as the new Mr. and Mrs. Robby St. Louis. Kelly’s bridesmaids had some of the cutest dresses we have ever seen. They all got to pick out of the Simple Dress line. Each girl picked a dress that fit their personality and body type PERFECTLY!  They chose beautiful Jekyll Island, Georgia for their wedding and reception. Jekyll is a small island off the coast of Brunswick and you can easily see why it is a prime pick for weddings. The old oaks, beautiful sunsets, quite coast lines, great seafood, to outstanding accommodations for them and their guests. These two were such a fun and unique couple that shared so many amazing moments throughout the planning process and their wedding weekend. We spent over a year planning their dream wedding and I have to say, it couldn't have turned out to be a more classy affair filled with mounds of laughter and happy tears. Donna of DVB photography made sure each and every moment was documented. We love working with Donna and her team and you can easily see why! One of my favorite shots of all time, is the peak a boo shot that Donna got while Robby was trying to see Kelly come down the aisle. Just priceless! Amy Harvey of Harvey Designs came all the way from Savannah, Georgia to provide their creative take on the flowers which you will see more of when you tune in tomorrow for Part 2-The Reception!
